When people ask if I liked living in Lubbock, TX, I show them photos like the first two here. We loved living there. End of story. These two were taken in the Lubbock/Amarillo area of Texas.

The last three of this group were from a camping trip in Southern Colorado. Perhaps the most perfect camping trip we ever went on.

More tomorrow.

Hopefully, this will be the first of several days worth of "new" photos...I finally went back through the pre-fotopages shoebox and pulled out the more interesting photos from that time period...most of these are from '96-'99 but there are some more recent than that as well...

This first set is from late 1997 or early 1998, in Southern New Mexico & West Texas.

No clue what kind of film or how I exposed them. Some of them turned out OK.

Old self portriat

This was taken in college, circa 1994, and used in two art projects which my mother now owns...the first was a b&w pencil drawing (11x14 or so) and the second was a pastel (lots of blues and greens, i think) of the same size. They are framed together as a study in contrasts, though if i was doing it all over i would have flipped one of them to have a mirror effect...but at the time, I wasn't planning on hanging them together (or at all)...

I had planned to get a photo of the two pieces together over Thanksgiving, but I forgot.

I really like this Thu 4-Dec-2003 16:06

The mutts seem popular...there's tons of older photos of them around, so I'm going back through the archives (its a shoebox, really) and pulling out some of the older photos.

So, here they are: Copper's Son Lewis, Madeleine L'Pointier, & Surprised by Joy

We call Joy "Zoolander" sometimes because she has that head tilt thing going on...

My wife owned a pointer & my neighbor raised Beagle's so nice seeing them again. You have done a nice job
of showing them at there best.

...without a home until now.

The Amarylis and Paperwhites were taken last Christmastime.

The outdoor photos were taken two years ago (January), in Florida, I believe.

They were all taken with a macro lens, and wide f-stop, and have a blurry/smokey feel to them. I didn't like the effect at first, but it has grown on me.

Gorgeous captures. Beautiful composition. For me, #2 and #4 are the best of them. Love it Fri 21-Nov-2003 12:46

...and boy are my wheels tired...

Lots of great photos taken (we'll see how they come out, of course) over the last week. Spent time in Charleston SC with family, and enjoying some siteseeingtypeactivities...I'll post some of those photos after I develop (or have them developed) them...some I'll be saving for the current 26 Things challenge...

For now, I'll post some old odds and ends that haven't found a digital home yet...first, some photos of the mutts from two years ago...

How much is that doggie in the # 6 window? Very nice pictures. Good job Wed 12-Nov-2003 20:44
