Variation on the theme...

A couple of shots that I took a few weeks ago. I'm not happy with the way they turned out in developing...my fault, of course, but I printed a few test shots just to see if they might be salvagable at all...I like these two together...

Film: Arista Pro 160ASA, 120 size
Printed: Forte VC paper

i think these shots are great... the second one especially! Wed 5-Nov-2003 06:45

Low Light Experimenting

Did some low-light experimenting in both color and B&W. Lighting provided by the 18 candles lit in the scene only. These are the color shots (you can tell because there is color.... ). I hope to get the B&W one's printed this weekend, though I don't think they turned out very well from looking at the negatives. Obviously, the one that is really light, wasn't in the dark...

35mm, Fuji Superia 400

i can't wait to see the b+w's of these! these three are great! Fri 24-Oct-2003 19:56

Top Ten To Date!

View all 9 photos...
Here are my favorite photos in my fotolog to date...actually only nine, not ten, because only nine will display at one time...

This is a cheap way for me to look like I'm actually posting something new!!!

Plus, some of these have kinda disappeared into my archive, and I want people to be able to see them when they first come here.

To those who are seeing these as re-runs (RIP), many apologies...

Nice shots Fri 24-Oct-2003 07:56

Finally, something new

View all 7 photos...
I printed contact proofs last night, and here's some of the results...I'm hoping to print better (sharper/bigger/cropped) prints of a couple of these this weekend, but I figured i'd go ahead and post the proofs.

This is also the first roll of medium format (120 in this case) I ran through as a test roll in my new (to me) camera. Also, developed and printed my self. Didn't spend a lot of time on the printing (ie, you know, the process was _about_ right, i _suppose_... ) mostly because i just wanted a test and to see if any of the negatives were worth spending time on.

In other words, this entry is just the remains of a big experiment...enjoy!!!

Film: TMax 100 (120)
Processed: Ilford
Contact Printed

I love beagles! Mine is named "Bear". My little gift from heaven. Shopping around for a dog is hard until you find a beagle. Mon 20-Oct-2003 14:27

This is the last of the new photos for a while...more of the series below.

I may still get around to scanning some of the older photos some day soon...who knows.

I also have a new camera to try out, to see how I like it, so, yeah...it may be a few days.

I have a roll of B&W that wasn't ready, though with the results I had with color that weekend, I'm not holding my breath...

These photos were taken of the players interacting with the fans. I have others on the B&W roll (along with more pictures of that hot chick). In order, the players are: Paul Wilson (P), Willy Mo Pena (OF), Tom Hume (Pitching Coach, former pitcher), Ray Knight (Coach, former infielder), Jason LaRue (C), and (I think) Ryan Freel (Infielder).

The event was great, especially for kids. It would have been even better if the players who weren't playing (Griffey, Kearns, Dunn, Larkin) were there. And of course those the Reds traded (Boone, Guillen, White, Sullivan)...*sigh*...quite a year to be a Reds fan...

that looks like a very fun day, it sort of amazes me that they actually took time out to meet the fans and stuff. is this all the colour ones you had from that day? i would like to see more. Thu 11-Sep-2003 13:56
