More from Photo Day

I rarely include pictures of myself which show me (unless I'm reflected in some abstract way), and as you look here, you'll see why.

My honey, on the other hand, looks good. So I'll post her here in proper ratio, 3:1. She's standing there in the left field corner, next to the scoreboard, and also a picture of her with one of her favorite players, Danny Graves.

you look great dude! Thu 18-Sep-2003 07:05

Reds Fan Photo Day

View all 4 photos...
Off we went to Cincinnati for Photo Day. Here's the first installment of the photos captured that day. The first few shots are some architectural shots from the concourse area looking over the city, and one of the outfield from our seats that night. I've always fancied a house on the hill there, in northern Kentucky, overlooking the river and the city.

There are a couple shots at night...one of the fans leaving the stadium, and one of the PNC building.

Remembering That Day

I have no photos really worthy of posting on this day. Watching documentaries the last few days, I've been reminded of that perfect, blue-sky morning two years ago.

May those who died, rest in peace.

May those who hate enough to kill, have a change of heart.

Care to comment?

Odds...or is it Ends???

No where else to put this, so i'll post it all alone...

At one point, I had grand ideas of trying to complete the "26 things" challenge...this would have been my self portrait in the "You" category.

Me, taking a picture, as reflected in a silver wine chiller...it hadn't been cleaned yet, so the color is due to the oxidation...looks gold...

you take such great pictures, i love them. and thanks for looking at my photos too! Fri 5-Sep-2003 19:09

These photos make me realize that summer will soon be gone. The pretty flowers are already bloomed, and gone until next year.

Center Township Fire

View all 7 photos...
On August 1, 2003, piles of rubber outside a tire recycling plant caught fire just outside of Muncie. Our firestation is located just two stone's throws away, and our firefighters were on the scene quickly. The smoke column could be seen for miles.

Tire fires burn for a long time, cast off terrible chemicals, and are very dangerous affairs. Our 43 firefighters fought this blaze for 60 hours. They were assisted by over 200 firefighters from 32 different departments. In addition to the firefighters there were hundreds of law enforcement, EMS, Red Cross, EPA, IDEM, and various other officials.

Most of these photos are from the first 30 to 45 minutes of the fire, somewhere between 12:15 and 12:30. I was much closer than this about 30 minutes after I took these pictures, but did not have my camera with me then. I wish I had, because I could have captured some much better shots of the heroic work being done by these brave men and women.

The final two photos were from 9:00 PM. The glow of the fire from approximately a 1/4 mile away.

Eric, you are great! I like your photos.... Thu 14-Aug-2003 20:12

Some random easter photos of my neice and nephew.

2003

I miss thouse days of running around seeking those eggs to find out what was inside. If I would have only learn sooner that the ones with the green paper in them were better than the ones with the candy Wed 6-Aug-2003 19:51

Getting down to the last...

Some of the last 2003 photos to post here...then I'll have to start digging through earlier photos...I have some nice ones of Texas/New Mexico that I'll find and post later...

The first two here were taken at the local Reservoir, and the last one is the fish the bird in some of the pics below was eating, before the bird started pecking him to pieces...

March and April, 2003

Really great photos. Not commenting for this post alone. Your black and white photos are very artistic. Fri 1-Aug-2003 18:25
